Article Summary:

Thursday evening, word broke from ESPN that Trae Young would not play in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals due to the foot injury he suffered in Game 3 of the series when stepping on the foot of an official. Young will continue to rehab with hopes of playing in the Eastern Conference Finals Game 6 on Saturday in Atlanta. The Hawks ultimately lost that game, but rebounded for a big win in Game 4 without him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, who left Game 4 with a hyperextended knee, will not play in Game 5 either.
